How to use production locations on the Shop Floor?
Starting an Operation
Log in to the Shop Floor and click on Start Operation
. Select the operation and the production order. When you are ready to report quantities, you can now specify the production location under Specify . This is the warehouse location where the products or semi-finished products are placed before they undergo the next operation.
Specify
When specifying, a production location is automatically selected if the 'Warehouse Location Out' is filled on the operation or the resource. For planned operations, the 'Warehouse Location Out' of the resource is checked first; if it is not filled, the 'Warehouse Location Out' of the operation is filled.
The status will be filled by default with 'Must be picked up'. If the production location is adjusted to the 'Warehouse Location In' of the next operation, the status will be filled with 'Has been placed'. The status can be manually adjusted to 'Must be picked up', 'Neutral', and 'Has been placed'.
Move
When moving, a new location can be selected, the number that is moved, and what the status of the new production location is. If moved to the 'Warehouse Location In' of the next operation, the status is automatically filled with 'Has been placed'.
Change
If the new location is adjusted to the 'Warehouse Location In' of the next operation, the status is automatically filled with 'Has been placed'.
Starting the Next Operation
If you start the next operation for the same production order, it is visible in the Detail on the 'Production Locations' tab where the products or semi-finished products have been placed after the previous operation.
