How to start an operation in the Shop Floor
The Shop Floor can be used to clock direct and indirect hours on the Shop Floor by starting and stopping manned and unmanned operations. Additionally, other actions can be performed, such as partially or fully reporting production orders as completed.
The Shop Floor screen is designed so that the user can easily operate the software with large icons. Operation is done via a keyboard with a mouse, a touchscreen, or barcodes in combination with a scanner. It is possible to provide individual user access with a badge.
Step 1: Select a direct operation
After logging into the Shop Floor, the 'Overview' appears. Here you start a new operation. First, you choose whether it should be a direct or an indirect operation. For direct operations, you clock hours on a production order, not for indirect ones. For a direct operation, tap the tile Start Operation
.
Step 2: Select the operation
The 'New Operation' pop-up appears. Here you determine which (direct) operation you will start. You can select the start of an operation by Operation or by Production Order. Operations are displayed on the screen as 'Own' or 'All'. The own operations are the operations to which the employee is specifically linked.
Please note! |
Step 3: Select the production order
After choosing the operation - for example, 'Sawing' - the list of available production orders appears. On the right side of the screen, you will find a search field to search for a specific production order.
Step 4: Select the VC operation
You now get a screen with the VC operations of the semi-finished product. In this screen, first select the VC operation and then tap the OK button at the bottom right of the screen.
Step 5. Save
The 'New Operation' pop-up disappears, and in the 'Overview' screen, you now see the added tile for the new operation you are going to start. This tile contains a green triangle as a sign that it has started. Be sure to first tap the Save
button to actually start the operation.
The 'Overview' screen closes automatically, and the login screen now appears again, where you briefly get the message that you have clocked in. The tile of the employee who is clocked in contains a green bar.
