How to stop an operation in the Shop Floor
The Shop Floor can be used to clock direct and indirect hours on the work floor by starting and stopping manned and unmanned operations. Additionally, other actions can be performed, such as partially reporting production orders as ready.
The Shop Floor screen is configured so that the user can easily operate the software with large icons. The operation takes place via a keyboard with mouse, via a touchscreen, or via barcodes in combination with a scanner. It is possible to provide individual user access through a badge.
Step 1: Go to the 'Overview'
Go to the 'Overview' in the start screen by tapping your tile. If you have started an operation, you will see the 'Ongoing operation' tile with a green triangle. You now have several options to stop this operation:
- Start Operation You start a new direct operation, which automatically stops the ongoing operation. See the article How to start an operation on the Shop Floor
- Start Indirect Operation You start a new indirect operation, which automatically stops the ongoing operation.
- Stop You stop the ongoing operation, giving you several options for a subsequent operation. See Step 2 for this.
- Clock Out You stop the ongoing operation by logging out of the Shop Floor.
Step 2: Stop the operation
By tapping Stop
, the ongoing operation is stopped. The tile gets a red square. At the top of the screen, it appears: "At least 1 operation must remain running". If your workday is not over yet, you now have several options: start a new direct or indirect operation, set up a machine, specify an operation, report quantities as ready, or clock out.
