How to set up the purchasing groups
Purchasing groups are intended to make a financial distinction between goods and/or outsourcing already received and invoices yet to be received. Purchasing groups are not necessarily used in a financial basic setup. However, it is important to set the general ledger accounts of the purchasing process to 'General Ledger Account MKG'. The settings of the purchasing group(s) can be found in the process table Purchasing Groups.
Outsourcing
Purchasing groups can also be used for better insight into purchased outsourcing. You can split outsourcing into purchasing capacity and purchasing post-processing. In such a setup, 3 purchasing groups arise:
- Standard Purchase. Material for orders: all accounts on 'General Ledger Account MKG (9999)'.
- Capacity Purchase. Intermediary account outsourcing on cost price turnover (700X).
- Post-processing Purchase. Intermediary account outsourcing on cost price turnover (700X).
Note! |
If desired, you can book all purchases on one account. To gain better insight into the types of purchases, you can choose to use separate general ledger accounts for the purchase of material, for the purchase of outsourcing, and for purchases due to lack of capacity within the own organization.
