How do you finalize a calculation

After adding materials and operations to your calculation, you can finalize it. MKG will then carry the gross price over to the linked sales quote line. This article explains how to finalize the calculation in MKG.

 


 

Once you have added materials and operations to the calculation, the prices and times are calculated by MKG. You can find an overview of this on the 'Summary' tab. To link the gross price to the sales quote line, you need to perform the Finalize action. Follow the steps below to finalize a calculation.

 

 

Step 1: Open the calculation

 

Search and select the calculation to which you want to add materials on the module homepage. You will be directed to the final product of the calculation.

 

 

Step 2: Go to the calculation semi-finished product

 

By double-clicking before the line, you go to the calculation semi-finished product. You will then be on the 'Materials' tab. Here you can see the materials added to the calculation. The 'Operations' tab lists the added operations in order, including any outsourcing.

 

 

Step 3: Review prices and times

 

The 'Summary' tab provides an overview of all prices and times calculated by MKG based on the VRM material and operations. By default, input prices are displayed. After finalizing, MKG will carry the gross price per piece to the linked sales quote line.

 

 

Step 4: Finalize the calculation

 

Click on Finalize Calculation

. The Finalize action is a process step you need to confirm. Click on Yes. The calculation is finalized.

 

 

Step 5: Navigate to the sales quote line

 

Navigate to the linked sales quote line. The Gross field should now display the price derived from the calculation. You can now determine the sales quote price and offer the sales quote.
