How to consult the standard dashboards

To convert data from your database into relevant management information, MKG5 offers dozens of interactive dashboards. This article covers the general operation of the standard dashboards. A specific explanation is also available for each dashboard.

 


 

MKG contains dozens of standard dashboards. These dashboards are not only organized into modules, such as Sales dashboard, Purchase dashboard, Production dashboard, Inventory dashboard, BBO dashboard, Notification dashboard, Consult hours or My company, but also within some process modules themselves.

 

 

Step 1: Open the module

 

Select one of the following dashboards via the Menu or on the MKG Homepage: Sales dashboard, Purchase dashboard, Production dashboard, Inventory dashboard, BBO dashboard, Notification dashboard, Consult hours or My company.

 

 

Step 2: Activate the 'Dashboard' tab

 

Click on the hamburger button

at the top right of your screen. In the menu, select 'Forms' 'Dashboard'. The 'Dashboard' tab will be added to your screen next to the 'Data' tab.

 

 

Step 3: Select the standard dashboard

 

First, click on Views

. Then select the desired standard dashboard from the pull-down menu.

 

 

Step 4: Refresh the data

 

After the dashboard is loaded, click on Refresh

to display the current data. Depending on the connection and the size of the database, this may take some time. The Date and time of last refresh are listed.

With the indicator next to the Refresh button, you open a pull-down menu. Here you can set, among other things, how often the data in the dashboard should be refreshed. By default, this is set to 'Manual'.

 

 

General functionalities

 

You can now start working in the dashboard. The standard dashboards of MKG each have their own layout, tailored to the subject. View the individual manuals of the standard dashboards for the layout and possibilities. All dashboards have the following standard functionalities:

  • Full screen. To display the dashboard on your entire screen, click on Full screen . Press the Esc key to return to normal mode. You can also display the individual tabs in full screen this way.
  • Export to. Clicking on Export to brings up a pull-down menu, where you have the following export options: 'Export to pdf', 'Export to image', and 'Export to Excel'. You can also choose a 'Print preview' here.
  • Parameters. Via the Parameters button , you open the 'Dashboard Parameters' window. Set the available parameters, such as 'reference date', and the corresponding values here to customize your dashboard.
  • Filter. In lists with a lot of data, you want to be able to filter easily. For this, you have the Filter button at your disposal. As soon as you hover over a column header with your mouse, this button appears. If no filters are applied, this button is visible: .

 

 

The 'My dashboards' module

 

In the My dashboards module, you can list the dashboards that interest you. This way, you create a cockpit of your company and can manage better.

 

Step 1: Add the 'My dashboards' module to your homepage

Click on the gear icon in the 'Consult' group on the MKG Homepage. Select 'System' under the available modules and then the 'My dashboards' module. Click on Add and then on OK. The module's tile is now added to your homepage.

 

Step 2: Add the dashboards to the module

Open the My dashboards module and then click on the plus sign. In the 'Dashboard group' window, select the desired 'Document' and then one of the available dashboards.

 

Step 3: Refresh the dashboard

Open the desired dashboard. Always click on Refresh

first to load the current data.
