Overtime

Hours worked by an employee beyond the contractually agreed or standard planned working hours are called overtime. In ERP software, overtime is often separately recorded for payroll calculation, cost allocation, and capacity analysis. It can be captured with specific hour codes and may generate additional allowances or higher cost prices in production and project reports.

Within MKG, 5 different fields can be defined to record overtime. These fields are used when setting up a day shift. When recording the hours, the 'extra' hours are placed in a corresponding overtime field. The hours are not multiplied by the allowance. Example of the different categories:

  1. OT1 = 125%
  2. OT2 = 150%
  3. OT3 = 200%
  4. OT4 = 100%

The metal collective labor agreement has a provision where the first 2 hours on a daily basis should be recorded under category 1 and the remaining hours under category 2.

Public Holidays

For the registration of public holidays, there is a setting in the administration to link the operation 'Public Holiday' to the overtime category.
