MKG3 features detailed time tracking. In addition to manual time entry, MKG3 recently introduced a Shop Floor functionality that digitizes processes on the shop floor along with associated documents. Everyone can easily record their hours, and the production order always contains the most up-to-date information. This reduces the amount of paperwork to and from the shop floor, such as drawings, time sheets, and work orders. No documents get lost, fewer errors occur, and the information is always current. In short, a significant amount of time is saved.
Huurdeman Metaaltechniek is one of the first companies to implement Shop Floor for MKG3. "We can now produce accurate post-calculations with the push of a button," says Maarten Huurdeman of HMT. "The interface is nice, simple, and clear, also user-friendly. No extra guidance is needed. For us as a small company, it might seem like overkill, but to be well prepared for the future, this appears to be a very good investment." To start using Shop Floor in MKG3, only half a day is needed for setup and training. For €9.95 per employee per month, hours can be entered both in real time and retrospectively via the MKG App. Time registration is thus also possible for work on location.
Although the initial experiences with Shop Floor are positive, HMT still has some wishes. Maarten Huurdeman: "Stability is still somewhat of an issue, but I expected that. The API is still quite new. Hopefully, in the future, more defaults can be set per employee. Currently, you are required to operate quite a few buttons before you can clock in and out."
