Notification Management Added to MKG5

From this version onwards, you can use notification management in MKG5. A notification is the consolidation of all possible information and actions surrounding a single signal. Notifications can be set up to register incidents around a process.

Using a template, you can organize a standardized set of activities, parameters, documents, and links to MKG processes around a notification number. For example, you can create a notification with the type Return Notification for a product return. In that notification, you can include questions about the how and why. The questions can have freely entered answers or predefined answers.

Depending on the configuration of the notification type and the given answers within the notification, you can then associate activities with employees. This results in a number of activities, such as investigating the cause of a return by one employee, and scheduling the possible reshipment of the product by another employee.

You can find the new Notifications category via the MKG Menu. Currently, this category contains the module Notifications and the tables Notification Types and Notification Parameters. Additionally, you can create all notifications from the process on a separate tab. Through notification management, all notifications can be managed together.

Although notification management is new in MKG5, it has been available in our versions of MKG004 for a long time. Manuals and tutorials for notification management in MKG5 are currently under development. The existing manual of MKG004 can be helpful if you want to start working with notification management. The screenshots in this manual are from MKG004, but the menu structure and operation can be applied one-to-one to MKG5.

    Attention!

If Notifications are not yet in use for you and you want to start working with them now, we advise you to ask your MKG consultant to help set up these modules.
