How to convert a sales quotation into an order

If you receive a positive response to a submitted quotation, you will need to create a sales order in MKG. By converting the sales quotation into an order, you transfer the data from the quotation. In this guide, we will show you how to create a sales order from a quotation.

 


 

The sales quotation line contains the action Create Sales Order. By executing this action, you conclude the sales quotation process and create a new sales order based on the data from the sales quotation. In popular terms: 'convert to order'. Follow the steps below to create a sales order from the sales quotation.

 

 

Step 1: Open the sales quotation

 

Search for and select the quotation you want to convert to an order on the module homepage. The sales quotation opens.

 

 

Step 2: Execute the action 'Create Sales Order'

 

Click on the Create Sales Order button above the line

MKG now automatically opens the Sales Orders module. At the top of your screen, you see the Quotation List, and at the bottom, the sales order to be created. From the Quotation List, you can add lines to the sales order to be created. In this case, MKG has automatically placed the quotation line on the sales order to be created.

 

Create Directly
With the Create Sales Order Directly button
, you can directly create a sales order based on the selected sales quotation lines, without the intervention of the action list.

 

 

Step 3: Enter the additional data

 

Fill in any missing Data. In the Address group, you see the addressing with the standard address and the standard contact person, as configured in the relation by checking the box for the sales order there. You automate the salutation in the relation with the contact person in the Address Salutation field. This address field can be manually adjusted via the buttons and .

 

 

Step 4: Enter the debtor

 

To create a sales order, you are required to fill in the Debtor field. If the relation is not yet a debtor, you must first create a debtor.

 

 

Step 5: Create the sales order

 

Click Save

. The sales order is created. You can now confirm the order to the customer.
