How to use Intrastat Codes

If sales or purchases are made abroad with a certain threshold value, a declaration of goods that have crossed the border must be provided based on the so-called Intrastat Code.

The Intrastat Codes table gives you the opportunity to add the 8-digit Intrastat Code to certain groups of products (or services) that require a goods code for the Intratstat declaration.

  • Intrastat Code. Unique 8-digit code, based on the IHG code list.
  • Description. Two description fields are available.

IHG Code Lists
When creating your own template/templates for compiling statements for International Trade in Goods (IHG), you need code lists. You can find these code lists and how to use them on the website of Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek.

Step 1: Select the item

In the Items module, select the item to which an Intrastat Code needs to be added.

Step 2: Fill in the Intrastat Code

Go to the 'Financial' tab, to the 'Intrastat' section. Select the code in the Intrastat Code field.

Step 3: Add the Storage Percentage

Use the Intrastat Surcharge Sales and Intrastat Surcharge Purchasing fields to fill in any surcharge percentages.
