“HVL is a true family business with 27 years of history. The company manufactures metal products in the broadest sense of the word: from simple semi-finished products to complex machines. HVL offers all specialized metal processing under one roof, a true all-rounder in metal. Significant investments are made in modern machines and equipment, enabling almost all conceivable metalworking to be performed in-house. Many ideas conceived for customers are ultimately made from steel, stainless steel, or aluminum. Since 2019, HVL has had a special project entity, HVL Projects. Here, a team of 6 engineers designs, develops, and builds solutions to optimize business processes for customers. HVL has also developed its own products, such as a fully automated warehouse rack system for handling metal sheets. The system is not only suitable as storage space but is also designed so that by supplying raw sheet material, semi-finished products, and finished products to machines, the order production lead time can be significantly shortened.

HVL has been using MKG since January 1, 2020. Previously, HVL had a custom-made ERP package. This entailed certain risks, such as continuity and vulnerability. HVL therefore chose MKG partly because behind MKG there is a large industry-specific knowledge base, with the experience of more than 600 companies in the metal sector being a great advantage.


Why does MKG work well for us?

Due to our wide variety of product offerings, it is important that all departments work complementarily at every level and are properly connected to each other. MKG offers the right possibilities for this, partly through management information and the Shop Floor on the work floor, which provide many insights and improve control and management.


What would we like to see improved in MKG?

We would like to see issues resolved within 24 hours. It often takes too long now. Fixing reported bugs in the software would make working with MKG more accessible and easier; further development of some process steps would accelerate and improve working with MKG for our employees. HVL has discussed this with MKG and where possible, this is being addressed (jointly).”
