WoodStock supplies custom solid wood panels to wood processing companies. We purchase the materials and then sell them. We are truly a trading company. In mid-2020, we were looking for software to support our rapidly growing business in the purchasing and sales process. Although MKG software is primarily designed for metal companies, it has proven to be very helpful for us. In fact, our satisfaction with MKG's applications has resulted in our sister company, Meubelfabriek Vroom in Heumen, also switching to MKG. Vroom manufactures upholstered furniture for retail and project construction. Again, not a company in the metal sector, but since Vroom is a true manufacturing company, MKG fits perfectly. Fortunately, this is not a problem for MKG either. Although we may not use all possible features at WoodStock, I believe that switching to MKG was a good choice. Should anyone require additional information, I am happy to provide it.
Why does MKG work well for us?
In September 2020, we made the switch to MKG. Now, almost two years later, no one wants to go back to the old situation. The ease with which you can check the status of an order is a major advantage. The reports you can create yourself give you a huge benefit in the daily monitoring of expected orders. The possibility for detailed reports is especially a great advantage of MKG for me personally. This gives me control over the entire business operations. A pleasant side effect is that the reports are easy to export to, for example, Excel.
What would we like to see improved in MKG?
If I had to point out something, it would be at the detail level. For example, when you enter an article code for an order, MKG automatically fills in the correct price and then you enter the parameters. So far, so good. But if you then notice you made a mistake and need to change the article code, the price does not update and the old price remains. If you are not alert to this, things can quickly go wrong.”

Editor's Note WoodStock is one of the few customers who do not fall directly within MKG's target group. We are of course very pleased to hear that our software works well for them. Customers outside the target group are not actively acquired by MKG; they have approached MKG on their own initiative.
