Material Types: Process Table

Note! This manual is developed for the MKG004 software. If you are using MKG5 or MKG3, the description of the functionality may differ slightly from your environment. We aim to provide a product-specific description for this topic in the future.

• Type. A short unique code of the material.
• Active. Material types that are no longer in use should generally not be deleted. Instead, they should be deactivated. This way, they are no longer visible or selectable.
• Description. Description of the material type.
• Material Number. The standard material number of the material.
• Composition. The chemical composition of the material.
• Specific Gravity. The specific gravity of the material used for calculating the weight per kg/dm3.
• Net Price/kg. The base price of the material type per kg.
• Purchase Quote Requests. This setting determines whether a purchase quote should be automatically requested for materials of this type:
• Default. The administration settings determine whether a purchase quote request should be automatically prepared.
• Yes. A purchase quote request is automatically prepared for VRM materials with this material type.
• No. A purchase quote request is not automatically prepared for VRM materials with this material type.
• Color Coding. This allows a color code to be assigned to the material type. The choices are: 'None', 'One color', or 'Two colors'. Then, one or more colors can be selected.
