How to set up a Shop Floor for one employee

It is possible to open the Shop Floor in the Smart Client for just one employee. This can be useful for an employee with their own workspace who only needs to register their own hours. This article will guide you in setting up this Personal Shop Floor.

Step 1: Fill in the 'Shop Floor Control' field

First, the Shop Floor Control field must be entered for the user. This is the user whose screen settings are adopted. You will find this field in the 'Login' section and it is only available with the user setting 'Is Shop Floor Control' = false.

Attention please!
Once the Shop Floor Control field is set up, Complex Password is automatically checked, and entering a complex password becomes mandatory.

If the user now logs into the Shop Floor Smart Client with their own username and password, a login screen appears where only one employee is available. The operation of this Personal Shop Floor is otherwise completely the same as the 'regular' Shop Floor.

Step 2: Set up the login screen

To set up the login screen, you need to log in to the Windows Client with the Shop Floor user. A pop-up will appear where a 'Shop Floor type' can be selected: General Shop Floor or Personal Shop Floor.

  • General Shop Floor: a login screen appears with all employees.
  • Personal Shop Floor: first, you need to select a user, after which a login screen appears where only that user's employee is visible.

Attention please!
All setups subsequently made are applied in the General Shop Floor and to all Personal Shop Floors linked to the respective Shop Floor user.
