How to convert files in MKG to SharePoint
Once the SharePoint integration has been established, you can convert files to SharePoint. We recommend doing this through the official method in MKG, because this conversion covers multiple actions at once. These actions include placing the file in SharePoint, adjusting the file path in MKG, and applying the SharePoint permissions to the document.

Please note! |
Converting files
| 1 | Ensure that the workstation you use for the conversion has access to the original document. If the file path cannot be found, the file cannot be converted correctly. |
| 2 | Open the Documents module. |
| 3 | Click on Convert to SharePoint in the toolbar at the top. |
| 4 | You will now see a pop-up screen where you can specify from which period you'd like to convert documents. Choose the desired period and click OK. |
| 5 | A new pop-up will appear indicating how many files have been found and can be converted. Click Yes to start the conversion. Please note that you cannot use MKG during the conversion. |
| 6 | Only a limited number of files can be converted at a time, so repeat this conversion action as often as necessary. |

SharePoint Permissions The SharePoint integration uses unique permissions at the document level. SharePoint recommends keeping the number of unique permissions within one document library limited (guideline: approximately 5000) to maintain optimal performance. The technical limit is 50,000 unique permissions per document library. With large document volumes, this limit can be reached. New uploads may then be temporarily unavailable. From version 098.009 onward, this has been addressed by automatically distributing documents across multiple document libraries. This way, the existing authorization structure will be preserved while also ensuring the scalability and performance of SharePoint. |
