How to Launch MKG and Customize the MKG Homepage?
Starting MKG
Double-click the MKG icon located on the computer desktop and enter your username and password when the login pop-up appears. MKG will then start with the screen settings as they were when MKG was last closed. Your settings, including opened modules and menu and search settings, are saved per user.
The MKG Homepage
When you start working with the MKG software, the MKG Homepage is the first thing you see. On this page, you see different 'tiles', with a distinction made between two types:
- Modules
Clicking on a module directly opens the relevant module, allowing you to create new items. Each module opens in a separate tab at the top of the menu bar, making it easy to keep multiple modules open and switch between them quickly. - Actions
Most action tiles display a number at the bottom left. This is the number of lines yet to be processed, allowing you to quickly see how much still needs to be done. Clicking on an action opens the Action List module, taking you to the relevant action. Actions do not have their own tile in the menu bar, which means that when you click on a second action, you go to your new action in the same Action List tile.
The MKG Homepage has a standard layout and displays frequently used modules and actions. However, each user has different tasks and needs. Therefore, your homepage can be fully customized. Using the display button (the eye at the top right of the page), you create new blocks. You then have the choice of:
- Search
At the top right of the screen, you already have a search bar to search the software specifically. However, if you prefer, you can also add a separate search block. Note: this separate block has a more limited function than the search bar at the top right. - Modules
In a module block, you can add all the modules the software offers, including data dashboards. - Report
It is possible to present a specific report directly on the homepage. Note: depending on the content and structure of the report, this may impact MKG's performance. - Dashboard
It is possible to display an existing dashboard directly on the homepage. Again, not all dashboards are suitable for this due to performance. Therefore, only choose dashboards labeled 'SP -'. These are specially designed for use on the homepage. - Actions
An action block is only suitable for actions. However, you can choose which actions to include, combining them as you wish. - Layout Mode
This does not create a new block, but changes the layout of the existing blocks on the homepage (stacked or streamlined).

Note! |
If you want to change the name or content of a new or existing block, click the gear icon
at the top right of the relevant block.- Module Blocks
In the top field, 'Description', enter the desired name of the block. Below that, you see several tabs. On the Modules tab, select which modules you want to place in your block. First, select your main category in the top dropdown. Then all underlying modules appear in the larger field, and you can add them as you wish. It is also possible to put modules with different main categories in one block, so feel free to combine modules as you like. - Action Blocks
In the top field, 'Description', enter the desired name of the block, just like with module blocks. The fields 'Refresh Interval' and 'Counter' are optional to adjust. The refresh interval indicates how quickly the counter should be refreshed. And the counter indicates how high the number at the bottom left of the action tile can be. In the larger field below is a list of all available actions. It is therefore possible that not all actions are relevant to you. From this list, select the desired actions you want to add to your block. If you know exactly which action you are looking for and find the list too long, you can use the search bar above the field to search for actions. The actions you add to one block do not have to belong to the same main category, so combine them as you wish.

Note! |
Are you satisfied with the layout of your homepage? Save it by clicking the eye and selecting 'Save View As...'. You can even create multiple homepage layouts and switch between them quickly. This is useful if you have many different administrations or diverse tasks and want to group them neatly.
