How to start a production order
Once the production order is provided with material, you can create the order guide card and start the first operation. You start the production. In this article, you will learn how to generate the order guide card and start the production order step by step.
By generating the order guide card, you provide the workshop with information about the production order. However, you also need to start the production order procedurally. You can learn how to do this in this guide.
Step 1: Open the order
Search and select the production order on the module homepage and go to the 'Materials' tab in the sub-assembly.
Step 2: Print the order guide card
Click - if necessary - on Report Preview
. The report Order Guide Card by Assembly (8604) contains all relevant information for the workshop. Print the order guide card.
Step 3: Start the production order
Now click on Start Production
. The action 'Start Production' is a process step that you need to confirm. Click Yes.
Step 4: Navigate to the assembly
Navigate to the production order. In the assembly, the Start Production field now contains a checkmark. The first operation can begin.
