How to add operations to a calculation

Once you have taken a sales quote line into calculation, the calculation is created, and you can add material and operations to the calculation. You provide each operation with setup time and operation time. Outsourcing is also an operation. Follow the steps below to add operations, including an outsourcing.

Step 1: Open the calculation

Search and select the calculation you want to add material to on the module start page. You will end up in the final product of the calculation.

Step 2: Go to the calculation semi-finished product

With a double-click before the line, you go to the calculation semi-finished product. You will then be on the 'Materials' tab. Now go to the 'Operations' tab.

Step 3: Create a calculation operation

Click on Calculation Operation

Step 4: Fill in the calculation operation

In this example, we work with the following data for a shaft with keyway:

First, select the Operation. You can search by operation name, operation code, or machine name. Then enter the Setup Time, the Operation Time, and the ratio Man per Machine.

Step 5: Save the changes

Click on Save

Step 6: Add an outsourcing

In MKG, an outsourcing is also an operation. When adding an outsourcing, proceed as follows: go to the Operation field and select the operation. MKG recognizes this operation as an outsourcing. Enter the net price per piece in the Net Price field.

Step 7: Navigate to the calculation

Navigate to the Calculation. The operations have been added to the calculation. You can now finalize the calculation.
