AI functionality in the MKG software

In some places in MKG, such as in memo fields, you'll encounter AI functionality. Artificial intelligence (AI) allows you to improve, edit, or translate your texts. Read this article carefully to understand what using this AI functionality means for you.

 

 

Disclaimer
The MKG ERP software offers support via an AI assistant based on OpenAI (ChatGPT). This feature helps you translate, correct, or expand texts and other content, among other things.

  • Important: The data you enter into this AI functionality will be sent to OpenAI for processing.
  • OpenAI may process this data outside the EU, which may have consequences for the protection of your personal data under European privacy legislation (GDPR).
  • The data is not stored by OpenAI by default, but it may be used temporarily for analysis or improvement of the service.
  • We advise you not to provide confidential or privacy-sensitive information through this function.

Disabled by default

 

We want to emphasize that administrators can control whether a user has access to AI functionality by checking the 'Can Use AI Features' checkbox. This setting is disabled by default, so users cannot use AI features from the start. You can enable it via:

Risks of AI use

 

Besides the benefits, there are some risks associated with using AI assistants:

  • Incorrect or undesirable results: AI systems, no matter how sophisticated, can make errors or generate answers that are not entirely accurate, relevant, or appropriate. Therefore, it's important to always critically evaluate the output and not blindly rely on the suggested texts.
  • Privacy and data security: Because your data is forwarded to an external service provider outside the EU, there's a risk that your data may not be subject to the same privacy regulations as within Europe. Therefore, be extra careful when sharing personal or sensitive information.
  • Terms of Use and Disclaimer: By using the AI functionality, you agree to OpenAI's terms and conditions. This may affect your rights and obligations. Please read these terms carefully to avoid any surprises.
  • Automatic processing: The AI assistant automatically analyzes and processes your data. There's no human review before you receive an answer. Therefore, always check whether the result is appropriate for your goal and situation.
