Automating the Process Numbering

As you know, the various processes of MKG have number series that may or may not depend on the fiscal year. Once a year, these number series had to be re-entered in the context of the fiscal year transition, every year again. That is no longer necessary. From version 005.064 onwards, you have the option to automate this annual adjustment. The composition of each number can now be set dynamically.

The process number consists of a prefix number and a sequence number. In the prefix number, the first positions are determined by the process and the following positions by the fiscal year - as before. New is that you no longer have to enter the fiscal year itself, so "23" if you are now creating fiscal year 2023, but instead you can use "[yy]". You only need to enter this once. Never again after that, MKG will carry the process numbering each year to the newly created fiscal year. The Example column immediately shows you how the numbering looks.



You can already do this now

The fiscal year transition is approaching. Creating a new fiscal year in MKG is, as always, one of the actions that must be performed. As well as adjusting the process numbering. You do not have to wait until the new year; you can already create the new fiscal year 2023. To also make use of the renewed process numbering, install version 64.
