Production Locations

With the new 'Production Locations' functionality, semi-finished products can be traced during the production process. A production employee always knows where the semi-finished products were placed after the previous operation.

With the new 'Production Locations' functionality, semi-finished products can be traced during the production process. A production employee always knows where the semi-finished products were placed after the previous operation.

When quantities are reported as completed in the Shop Floor, a location can be specified when defining an operation where the products are stored. When starting the next operation, the location of the previous operation is displayed. It is also possible to specify multiple locations, for example, if the products do not fit in one location.

Production locations can be found in various places within the software:

•  In the Shop Floor, you will find the 'Production Locations' tab in the Detail of the Overview, in Preliminary Calculation, and in Planning. On these tabs, it is possible to move, archive, or adjust a production location.
•  In MKG, production locations are found on the production order semi-finished product, the production order operation VC, and in the Detail of the Planning.
•  The Production Locations module has been added to the Production menu. Here you can consult a comprehensive overview of all production locations.


Dashboards in MKG5

Created production locations are never deleted but can be manually or automatically archived. When a production location is archived, this means that the product is no longer at that location but has been moved to another location or is being processed.
