Show List Summary

In the previous Tips & Tricks, we demonstrated how to group in list views. You have even more options in the list view, and these have been further expanded in version 49. You can display a sum in a list view, for instance, in sales quotes, in the 'Price' column. These are also available in the list view within dashboards.

Open any dashboard and click on   to retrieve data. Right-click in the empty area of the list and select 'List Settings' > 'Summary' > 'Show List Summary'. A gray bar will now appear at the bottom of the List. In this gray bar, right-click and choose 'Sum' in a column of your choice. All values in that column will now be totaled.

It is also possible to sum the total from a number of selected rows. Do this by right-clicking again in the empty area and choose 'List Settings' > 'Multiple Selection'. Checkboxes will now appear for each row. Now right-click in the 'Sum' box and select 'Selection' under mode. When you now check rows, the sum will only show the total of the selected rows.
