Consolidation Available for Administrations

It is now possible to conduct a consolidation administration in MKG. This allows you to execute a consolidated (condensed) period balance and (condensed) trial balance.

First, create a new extra administration and fiscal years in the module Administration. The number of the new administration will be displayed in the field Administration.

Click on Create Fiscal Year from the new administration

and create the fiscal years. For more information see: Creating a Fiscal Year and Checking the Period Layout.

Go to Administration Settings General General Consolidation and specify the administrations to be consolidated in the field Source Administrations, separated by commas.


The chart of accounts and account consolidations are taken from the first mentioned administration.

In the module Administration go to the button Copy Administration

. The following window appears:


Enter the administration and fiscal year in 'Source' and check 'Administration Settings'. In 'Target', enter the consolidation administration and fiscal year. The checkmark at 'Value' must also be active. In 'Copy Tables', choose 'Periods', 'Chart of Accounts', and 'Account Consolidation'. When you open the modules Periods, Chart of Accounts, and Account Consolidations, you will see the data from the administration you just copied.


Chart of Accounts

  • With the button Generate Consolidation Chart of Accounts
    the chart of accounts and account consolidations from the first mentioned administration are adopted. This button is only visible in a consolidation administration.
  • With the option 'Show Data From' (via Balance List) you can choose to display the consolidated period amounts or those of a specific administration on the screen. This option is only visible in a consolidation administration.

Reports

The following standard reports will now display consolidated data:

  • Account Consolidation: Condensed Period Balance (8623), Condensed Trial Balance (8628), Condensed Result Comparison (8735)
  • My Company: Period Balance (8628), Trial Balance (8627), Result Comparison (8670)

In a later stage, it will be possible to specify these reports per administration.
