Handling

Handling is an interval in time or quantities that indicates that an employee must perform certain tasks for an unmanned operation. This includes tasks such as refilling materials or removing products.

 

 

Handling time is the time required for the handling. Any allowance in the handling is called the handling buffer. If the handling is critical, a planned operation outside the manned shift type will end at the moment the handling is needed. The operation will then restart the next day at the beginning of the manned shift type.
