Production Groups: Process Table

Production groups are used when work in progress needs to be divided into different production groups. For example, consider a distinction on the balance sheet between 'Work in Progress Machining' and 'Work in Progress Construction'.

Via: MKG Production Process Tables Production Group the general ledger accounts are set that are linked to a production group. In a financial basic setup, the changes in work in progress are manually booked via the memorial journal per period. Production groups are not tracked through financial mutations. It must be checked whether the groups of the production process are assigned to the general ledger account 9999:

• Production Group. Unique number of the production group.
• Description. Description of the production group
• WIP Man. Selection field to select the general ledger account where the work in progress of the man should be booked.
• WIP Machine. Selection field to select the general ledger account where the work in progress of the machine should be booked.
• WIP Material. Selection field to select the general ledger account where the work in progress of the material should be booked.
• WIP Outsourcing. Selection field to select the general ledger account where the work in progress of the outsourcing should be booked.

When the checkbox for 'Production', 'Material', 'Outsourcing', 'Hours', or 'Completion' is checked in the administration settings, financial mutations are created when materials, hours, and/or outsourcing are booked on a production order. The registration of the (balance) value of the work in progress is at that moment linked to the accounts on the production process groups.
