Production Orders: Standard Configuration of Status and Actions

To manage business processes, MKG uses the status-and-action model. After performing an action, the status of a process changes. This article provides an overview of the available statuses and actions in the production order process.

Status and Actions for Production Orders

The table below shows the standard configuration of statuses and actions in the production order process. The source status is the status in which the process currently resides. The target status is the status the process transitions to after performing the action. A target status, except for the final status, must also be included as a source status.

Example

In the image below, you can see that the status Created transitions to the status In Production through the action Start Production. For actions, it is possible to choose whether the user must fill in a memo field when performing the action. The following options are available for the User Memo: None, Optional, or Mandatory.

Note! Making changes to the standard configuration of the status-and-action model can have significant consequences within MKG. Therefore, we recommend doing this in consultation with the application administrator, the MKG consultant, or through the MKG Helpdesk.
