ISL Online replaces Teamviewer as support tool

01-12-2025 | As a customer of MKG, you are likely accustomed to us using Teamviewer to support our end users. That is changing: we are gradually switching to ISL Online. This article explains why we made this choice and what ISL Online is.

Why this change?

To keep up with market developments and the needs of our customers and ourselves, we periodically evaluate the software we use. An assessment last year showed that our subscription with Teamviewer limits us in scalability and flexibility. After careful selection, we established that ISL Online most accurately meets our current and future needs.

What is ISL Online?

ISL Online provides products for remote support. Their software is highly scalable and flexible enough to also support operating systems other than Windows. ISL Remote, the company behind ISL Online, is based in Slovenia, within the European Union. Data privacy and information security, themes we at MKG regard as core values, can be guaranteed with ISL Online. The company is ISO 27001 certified and compliant with various European standards, such as GDPR/AVG. Because we depend on ISL for good (support) service, ISL Online guarantees a platform availability of 99.5%. More information is available on the ISL Online website or can be obtained through us.

How does ISL Online work?

Diverging from what you were used to with Teamviewer, our employee will now start a session with ISL Light. This creates a unique session. After downloading the ISL Light Client, available via our support channels, you will be invited to this session. As long as the session is active, we can provide support by watching along, taking over control, or by analyzing any files we receive from you. You will always see what is happening. The session can be ended by either yourself or our employee. To use ISL Online, no setup or configuration is required on most operating systems. Neither is it necessary to adjust firewall settings. A technical explanation of the operation is available on the ISL Online website or can be obtained through us.
