Limis Planner (Limis)

Limis Planner is a smart add-on for your ERP system that helps manufacturing companies optimize and maintain flexibility in their production planning. We connect with your ERP via an API and retrieve relevant data.

 

Using powerful algorithms, we generate an optimal schedule based on your parameters and production strategy, which is automatically fed back to your ERP or Shop Floor Control system.

Our software takes into account a wide range of planning settings and dependencies, such as material availability, order clustering, and sequential dependencies between production or processing steps. This results in a realistic and efficient schedule that seamlessly aligns with the shop floor practice.

With Limis Planner, you can optimally utilize human resources and machinery, reduce lead times, and increase delivery reliability—even with rush orders or last-minute changes. Features like the Scheduler (for smart planning calculations and visualizations), Move Rate Planning (for flexibility without losing delivery dates), Order Acceptance (for realistic delivery times during order entry), and DDMRP (for dynamic material planning) make Limis Planner a powerful tool for any production environment looking to advance.

 

 

The Integration

Limis Planner seamlessly integrates with MKG and automatically retrieves the necessary order and capacity data via an API. Based on this information, our software generates an optimal production schedule, where the correct sequence of operations is intelligently calculated using scheduling and your planning parameters. This sequence is then fed back into MKG, allowing you to fully continue utilizing the Shop Floor Control functionality of MKG. The control on the shop floor remains unchanged, while the planning is optimized in the background by Limis—quickly, accurately, and always up-to-date.

  • This integration requires an MKG5 environment with the MKG API that is accessible from outside.
  • The MKG Exchange license (full control) must be active.
  • API Key and a user with specific rights.

  • The MKGworkerservice from Limis is required for this integration. It is installed by default during installation. NOTE: a consultant must still configure this.
